Front-lit channel letters have LEDs illuminating through the acrylic face, creating bright direct illumination. Back-lit channel letters have LEDs behind the letter casting light against the wall, creating a halo effect. Front-lit provides maximum visibility. Back-lit provides a premium architectural look.
Aluminium is preferred for large-scale signage over 1.5 metres because it weighs approximately one-third of stainless steel. This reduces mounting load on building facades and simplifies installation. Stainless steel is preferred for premium finishes like mirror polish and PVD coating.
PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a premium surface finish for stainless steel signage. It provides colours including gold, rose gold, bronze, champagne, black and gunmetal in mirror or satin finishes. PVD is more durable and scratch-resistant than electroplating. It is widely used in hotel signage, luxury retail signage and high-end commercial signage.
